Hmm… Facebook ne connaît pas mon école d’ingé, et ne liste personne d’autre sortant de mon lycée la même année que moi, donc je me sens un peu seul, alors n’hésitez pas à m’ajouter, j’ai cru comprendre qu’on pouvait cocher la case “je sais pas qui c’est ce con, je veux juste avoir l’air populaire” quand on amise quelqu’un.

P.S. N’hésitez pas à inclure un message avec votre demande, pour que je n’aie pas à inspecter votre profil pendant minutes pour essayer de deviner si je vous connais indirectement ou non, ou même si vous venez de mon blog.

My Twitter posts are now aggregated in my Frankenstein monster of a main feed — and the world rejoiced.

I know that people who already follow me on Twitter will get the contents twice that way, but I recently figured that, even if all bloggers did the same, it would still only be one extra post a day per blog — whatever RSS reader you’re using, that’s quickly skipped. Some bloggers I follow do it, and once I got past my knee-jerk reaction I didn’t have a problem with it at all — plus, Twitter’s servers still have have trouble, and I’ve often discovered tweets in blog feeds that hadn’t appeared in Twitterific. So, now, you’re not missing anything I post anywhere at all. No word ever written by Garoo shall be lost! (Seriously, if you subscribe to this feed, you’ve got some kind of interest in what I say and think; as it happens, 99% of my most profound thoughts are now posted on Twitter. Either I can make it fit in 150 characters, or it would take several paragraphs and I won’t be bothered to write them.)

However, that doesn’t apply to bloggers using Twitterfeed to notify all their Twitter followers every time they’ve posted on their blog: that’s just stupid and, if you’re doing it, I’ll never ever follow you on Twitter. If I want to be notified when you post to your blog, I’ll subscribe to your RSS feed, thanks very much; at the very least, if you want to use Twitterfeed, create a separate account like I did so that readers have a choice of following it or not — just don’t mix blog reposts and original content that can’t be found anywhere else.

(I know I’ve already written that over and over, but apparently it bears repeating.)

P.S. Sorry for the 40 posts that may appear as new, I’ve been cleaning up my RSS feeds a bit. No need to specify “Posted by Garoo” since I’m alone everywhere, even in my group blogs.

Premier bilan de la soirée (je reviendrai peut-être sur le reste demain, mais j’aurai probablement la flemme) : si l’on part du principe que mes lecteurs réguliers ne peuvent plus ne pas me reconnaître dans une réunion de blogueurs depuis que j’ai publié des vidéos (ça aussi j’y reviendrai peut-être demain, mais ça m’étonnerait vraiment que j’aie le courage, ça prend trop de temps, et le temps c’est de l’argent, et l’argent ne court vraiment pas les rues en ce moment, et en plus quand je suis fauché ça me démotive, ce qui en passant est un sacré cercle vicieux de merde), alors quand trois blogueurs sur quarante me reconnaissent ça fait carrément plutôt très pas beaucoup. (Apparemment, la seule solution pour que je poste plus de 150 caractères à la fois, c’est d’avoir joué à Hexic 2 pendant deux heures à quatre heures du matin ; du coup, forcément, c’est plus long qu’un tweet, mais c’est aussi plus mal écrit.) Je ne sais pas si les autres étaient des blogueurs importants ou des petits gratte-skyblog, mais ils n’étaient pas tous moches. Pas tous.

I’ve been thinking about this, and about the pathetic statistics for some of my satellite blogs, and finally concluded that I just can’t imagine any reason at all why anyone would want to keep a subscription to the garoo.net feed instead of the global, aggregated cedric-bozzi.com feed (which has been the default feed on this blog for a couple months). It makes sense for someone to subscribe only to #FF00AA, or Beware The Frog, but not what has become a vague tumblelog where I publish a couple links and TV show reviews a week — you’re not interested in garoo.net unless you’re interested in garoo, and in that case you should want to get the global feed.

So I’m setting a permaredirect today from the garoo.net to the cedric-bozzi.com feed, which includes my articles from #FF00AA (tech stuff), Beware The Frog (video game stuff) and all the Regarde… sites (visual links). Basically everything I publish online except chats LOLorNOT and Twitter (that may come later, when I get around to coding it).

Yay ! Ca faisait un moment que je regrettais de ne pas pouvoir installer BloggerSnap sur mon blog, comme tous les djeunz à la mode de la pédéblogosphère 2.0, pour que xxxx poste des photos de sa bite sur ma page d’accueil (j’ai envie de pouvoir choisir où et comment l’afficher — personne n’a besoin d’une image si grande ni d’un gros bouton HTML pour poster sa photo, je n’ai pas de sidebar moi).
