With 150 TV channels, typing my personal TV schedule into my database each week becomes a real chore.

Why doesn’t any site allow you to really make your own schedule? Am I the only intelligent developer in the country? I want to check a few boxes and highlight all airings of Seinfeld, South Park and Friends. I want to have a list of all the movies of the week, check those I want to see so all their appearances are highlighted, then uncheck them once I’ve seen them. (And, while we’re at it, rate the movies after I saw them, so as to fill the database.) I want the same functionality for each individual episode of the series I watch. I want to receive alarms by mail for the really important shows, and have a personalized web page reminding me all that I checked for each day. I want to code this myself, but the satellite operators don’t give out their schedules easily. Why not? I only want to provide a free service to their subscribers! Heck, as an individual Cansatellite subscriber paying more than 60 € per month, I should be entitled to downloadable schedules for myself if I want them!
